Re: Rock Band Idol?

We used Rock Band 3 this year. Assuming that another major release (i.e., not a "Beetles" or "Lego" iteration, but Rock Band 4) has not occurred by Setsucon 2012, we'll use Rock Band 3 again for this event. Song-wise, it's dependent on who owns the Xbox running the game. This year, the console was o...

I'm not a Hetalia fan, but that song rocks my socks off. Daft Punk would be wonderful for Setsucon, especially if you can mix new work (like from Tron: Legacy) with old favorites.

Re: DDR Mats

Hello, I am one of the game room co-heads from last year, now an adviser to the new leader. :) The version of DDR we've used last year and we're using again is called OpenITG , a Stepmania-based DDR simulator with far more songs on it (that we're legally allowed to use). And since Penn State's DDR c...

Late post, but thanks to one of SPatDHoA's members, here's a Rock Band Idol video of his band playing the winning song, "Highway Star." The judging portion was omitted, but you'll clearly understand why the group won so many awards: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iXqvsJmq-HI Again, congratulations t...

I'm gonna make an effort to go (from State College, PA. Sorry, not Maryland), but that's if my classes and exams cooperate. Anyone want to do an Artist Alley table with me?

Holy crap, the photos you've taken are amazing, carbon. I especially love the pic of Onslaught Six and I during the Rock Band contest. Our band name was Geno Cannon, btw. :) Geno Cannon! To be honest, you guys were one of my favorite bands along with Steve Parry and the Dark Horses of America. The ...

Hey everyone! It's Kevin, one of the co-directors of the Gaming Room. Hope everyone had an awesome time at Setsucon 2009, and that you've all enjoyed the updated rotating selection this year. It's been a very stressful few months leading up to the convention, but seeing the con-goers have a great ti...

Re: Question about game room

Just wondering what type of games to expect as well as what tournaments. Thanks. Hello [SLAYER]chaos, and welcome to the forums! We can't disclose all the details yet, but there will be a large offering of modern games (a few in HD!), and several retro ones, throughout the day; we're bringing back ...

Hey Mr. Otaku...pardon the delay. Besides doing convention duty, I am one of the members in the PSAOM (manga) group, so here's a brief status update: The plotline for what's to be printed has already been written way back and checked over several times, so all that's left is visualizing it. Our arti...

Hello spiffygoober! Setsucon is currently held at the Days Inn in State College, PA . Over the past two years, we've grown in attendance: for 2008 we came close to the hotel's legally-allowed capacity of about 500 (if not higher) registered attendees, minus staff. The Days Inn isn't a large hotel, a...
