since we are going to have cosplayers, and some of them will be members of PSAO (statistically speaking, someone will) why not set up a mock battle on stage, using fake weapons. People would like to see characters from different series fight each other. It will be humorous at least. As long as we dont get into a serious fight it should be all right. This can be sort of like the super-sentai power ranger things.

how cool would it be to have have naruto fight ichigo? Ichigo can do the bankai and pull out a giant foam sword from behind the curtain or something.

What I want to see is a Super Smash Bros. re-enactment skit that's accurate right down to the percentage counters. That means:

- A level that's either open or contains multiple platforms to jump from.
- People to throw various "weapons" onto the stage, like a foam bat, a cardboard crate of goodies, a paper fan (must-have!), a pokéball (with respective pop-on actor), or a mock beam saber.
- A deep-voiced announcer to read when the players are out of "stock," when the match has ended, etc.
- Up to four people with flip card-type charts with percentage readings (of course, they're all made up on the spot) and lives/stock markers.
- People off-stage with N64 controllers (or Game Cube controllers) acting like they're real competitors controlling the actors onstage.
- Any other details you can think of that make SSB, SSB.
- Throw in various humor moments...

instead of the people off the stage with controllers, it would be cooler is the audience is able to influence the outcome of the match to some degree. they can be given the plushy M tomatos beforehand, and throw them when their favorite character is having a hard time, etc. maybe the same with the weapons. if one of the characters is given a nerf gatling gun all of a sudden, and unloads it onto the others, that would be pretty cool.

of course, we cant limit ourselves with just SUper smash characters, but we might as well just do whatever we feel like. I'm sure others have thought "I want this character in the game"

but the percentage counters being held up by the actors would get in the way. if they have to flip the cards every time they get hit, that will be a very slow process. If we have a computer screen, with the faces of the characters and the respective damage percentage next to them, then we can just update that with a push of the button with no interuption on stag.e

the announcer is a must. "GAME!"

we need a kid link pull out a glass of milk as a taunt.

as for raised platforms, i have no idea how to set those up in a stage that small (relatively low ceiling) and we cant do any wire fu to get up there, so youll have to climb or jump. this will complicate things.

we also need a sound effects board, for the punches and power moves.
