Brad Swaine would be an interesting guest. He plays a lead role in Deathnote (huge among fangirls/fanboys) as well as some other big name anime such as Gundam, DBZ, and Inuyasha.

Alessandro Juliani would be cool. He's in a ton of animated stuff, mostly kid stuff, but he does do L from deathnote. That definitely counts for something, right? I mean, come on, it's L!

Here's a few idea's to consider when considering who to contact for guests,

The first being what is the purpose of the guest coming to the convention in the first place. To the unaware fan, the guest is often sought after because they are recognized for the popularity of their work. Fans want to see the talents that they admire, the more popular the talent, the more of a turn out there will be. Elementary knowledge.

However, one has to consider the talents perspective, as well as the talent agency/agency representing the clientele and product their talent is trying to represent, and therefore sell that product. A talent, or talent agency is more likely to cooperate, when they have the need to promote their product, in the case of voice over talents the product being the talent themselves and their own voice. This should also be taken into consideration when deciding bands, artists, mangaka, seiyuu, whatever the talent or guest is, they will usually come to promote something given any opportunity.

In the case of Troy Baker. He is a veteran, and a well respected voice talent in the industry, maybe not as popular as some other talent. He is credited for being the dub voice of "Tendou Pain" from Naruto. His agency may seek to promote him taking this role into consideration, being as the character is popular among the fans. By sending him out, they promote their product, and the fans see what they want.

Taking these into consideration, when choosing the talent, the idea of what is popular in the public's eye, as well as what is fresh and new in the corporate eye is a key factor of making the decision.

Also, another thing to consider is the idea of linked talent. Lets use Yuri Lowenthal as an example. Yuri Lowenthal is a very popular voice talent, he is known for many roles including Uchiha Sasuke in Naruto, Kururugi Suzaku from Code Geass, and Ben 10. Yuri Lowenthal is married to Tarra Platt, who is also a famous and accomplished voice talent. It might be possible to arrange to have both guests attend, and therefore increase the number of guests. The same could be possible for other guests, like the Epcars and various others.

Another thing to consider is the relationships the talents share as colleagues. To use as an example again, Yuri Lowenthal is often paired with famous voice talent Johnny Young Bosh. Having the two in the same location will add a different perspective to the convention, allow the guests to work along side familiar faces allowing them to feel more comfortable, as well as draw in a larger fan base. The same can be said about Todd Haberkorn and Vic Mignogna, and various others.

Some talent have more then one talent to their name. If we use Johnny Young Bosh as an example again, Bosh has his own band, "Eye Shine". By scheduling him as a guest, you have the opportunity to schedule him as a music talent as well. Vic Mignogna also possesses this same trait, as well as other various talents.

*One should also remember that there are more then just the voice talents when selecting guests. There are plenty of directors, artists, Mangaka, seiyuu, cosplay designers, gamers, dj's, and many many more talents, seeking to showcase just that, their TALENT. Agencies jump at every chance, to showcase their talents. The idea should be to promote these talents, not just represent the one specific field of the industry. You want to represent as much of the diversity of this genre as possible. There are many different mediums in which this genre is popular for, by representing multiple aspects, you draw a much bigger crowd.

The idea of quality and quantity should be balanced. You want quality talent for sure, but you also want to select a large representation of the different fields of said talent to draw the bigger crowd.

I'd love to see Fred Schodt or Robert Woodhead. Another suggestion is Ada Palmer, who runs the Tezuka in English website.

'Course I'd also love to see a Japanese guest, but I try to keep my expectations at least somewhat within in the realms of possibility.

Getting Yuri Lowenthal and Tara Platt to Setsucon would probably be fantastic choices. I would love to see Johnny Yong Bosch there as well!

Maybe we could get Leetstreet Boys as a musical performance?

I am seriously interested in bringing Brentalfloss, and I'll even chat with him to see if it's an option/if he's interested at all C: (and doubles as a musical guest!) On the topic of Brent/comedy acts, I suggest Uncle Yo!

I also think a few abridgers would be cool, but in all honesty, it could be a near impossible task. LK, Masako, Shadyvox, and a few others come with a hefty pricetag because we'd literally have to import them from England... which can get pricey on it's own. Unfortunately, team four star can't work out their schedules to get together for some of the bigger cons, a small con like Setsucon may have some trouble, thus adding to the "this may not work" idea.
However, I do think it would be totally awesome to give it a try, and possibly try specifically for LK, since getting a single abridger is easier than a group. With YGO abridged, we could also get Kirbopher (the voice of Noah, and animator of Leather Pants), who lives relatively nearby this area..? Not quite as amazing as getting Team Four Star, but it's a start. Kirb could also do a panel on amatuer voice acting, considering he's done a few little things here and there, including a reoccuring stint on Pokemon.
Again, any interest there and I'll ask Kirb about it!

Oh, and 20 thousand votes for Brad Swaille for me as well, though I feel like he hasn't been in anything in the longest time :C

I was thinking of suggesting Jonny Yong Bosch just because of DuRaRaRa, but then i looked him up on Wiki and saw all the other roles he played and i thought to myself "yes, he must come to Setsucon."

Would love to see Luci Christian! (Honey in OHSHC, Nami from Once Piece, Ringo in Air Gear, Medusa in Soul Eater, Hungary in Hetalia and soon Alois in Black Butler II~) Anyone else agree with this?
