Setsucon is just days away! Here's the info on how to get your badge at Setsucon 2017!

On Friday, January 20th, the Setsucon Registration Desk will be open only for pre-reg pickup. Please Note! Only those who have already pre-registered can pick up badges on Friday night.

Don't have a badge yet? Well, it's not too late to register for Setsucon 2017! We have about 550 badges available on Saturday and at least 25 badges available on Sunday (depending on Saturday sales). Keep an eye on our Twitter and Facebook accounts. We'll be doing our best to provide updates about the number of remaining badges throughout the weekend.

Finally, please remember to familiarize yourselves with our Registration FAQ and Parental Consent policies. Any attendee under the age of 18 must have the proper parental consent and chaperone paperwork on file and must be accompanied by a parent, legal guardian, or chaperone who also has a badge.

Setsucon is pleased to announce the card gaming events for 2017. This year we are running tournaments for Magic: The Gathering, Yu-Gi-Oh, Cardfight Vanguard, and Pokémon. For more information on the tournaments and the rules that we will be using, go to the Programming page on our website.

Ralfington will be playing at the Setsu Odori in 2017 for his first time! Having worked with Dj Cutman on his very first EP "Remix Default" back in 2014, he has earned his spot as one the newest artists for Dj Cutman's music label GameChops. He will be bringing us some new and unique remixes that focuses on anime music, funk, and J-pop! For more information on Ralfington, check out our website's guests page.

Setsucon has brought back DJ-R for the Setsu Odori! DJ-R, a Penn State alumnus, is a part of GameChops, a record label for video game dance remixes. For more information on DJ-R, visit the guests page on our website.

The AMV deadline has been extended until this Friday, January 13th. Submit your entry today to be part of the AMV contest. Go to the AMV Contest Page for full details.

Our favorite geek belly dancing troupe, Antipode, will be coming to Setsucon 2017! Fusing the theatrics of acting with a mix of cosplay, pop-culture, and off- beat humor Antipode brings the audience not just dance, but full geek entertainment. Setsucon 2017 will feature a guest appearance from Kira Buckland! Kira has lent her voice to such anime characters as Umi in Love Live, Kuroyukihime in Accel World, Kogyoku in Magi, Zushi in Hunter x Hunter, and Mimete in the new Sailor Moon dub. In Video Games, she has voiced such characters as Edna in Tales of Zestiria, Hiyoko Saionji in Danganronpa 2, Artemia in Bravely Default, and Marie in Skullgirls.

The art contests for Setsucon 2017 are being extended an extra week! You will now have until Friday, December 23 at 11:59:59 PM to submit your entries for our Badge, Cover, and T-shirt contests. If you need a refresher on the rules for the contests, check out the Contests page on our website.

We are proud to announce that Uncle Yo will be returning to Setsucon for 2017! Karl "Uncle Yo" Custer is a truly unique stand-up comedian and the host of the "Chroniclers of Darkness" podcast, and is the man behind the "Dungeon Crawlers" YouTube fantasy sitcom.

Hall Cosplay applications for Setsucon 2017 are now open! Have you made a stunning costume that you would like to have judged? Come participate in the Setsucon Hall Cosplay Contest! Judging will be held earlier on Saturday, before the Masquerade event begins. Awards for the Hall Cosplay Contest will be awarded at the end of the Masquerade event. Check out the Hall Cosplay page on our website for rules and to send in your application!

Masquerade applications are now open for Setsucon 2017! If you’re interested in performing in front of judges and an audience this is the chance for you. You can compete by yourself or with a group. Skits of all kinds will be judged; dancing, singing, comedy, etc. Mandatory practice will be held Saturday afternoon. Pop on over to the Masquerade page to check out the rules and send in your application!

Pre-Registration is now closed! If you mailed your pre-registration to us and do not receive your confirmation by December 8th, please contact our Registration Director by using our website's contact form. We will have At-Con Registration available at the convention so stay tuned for further details.

Panel Applications for Setsucon 2017 are now closed! Thank you to everyone who submitted panels. We will now begin the process of reviewing all of the submissions. Applicants will be notified in the upcoming weeks about whether or not their panel has been accepted.

Setsucon is proud to announce Keith Silverstein as a guest for 2017! Keith is a veteran voice actor know for voicing Kimimaro in Naruto, Speedwagon in JoJo's Bizarre Adventure, and Hisoka in Hunter x Hunter. In the world of video games, he voices Torbjörn in Overwatch, as well as Lex Luthor in Batman: Arkham Knight.

If you are still working on your panel application or haven't had a chance to submit it yet, please make sure to apply soon! We will be extending the deadline until December 2, 2016 if you need a bit more time to plan your panel. Please make sure that you've pre-registered before submitting your panel application. Details about how to submit a panel application are on the Panels page of our website.

This is your friendly reminder that pre-registration is currently open and will close on December 2, 2016. If you want the pre-registration price and a secured spot at the convention, you must have your mailed pre-registration with all required forms postmarked on or before December 2, 2016. If you mailed your pre-registration more than two weeks ago and have not received your confirmation, please contact registration so we can keep an eye out for it.

Setsucon is holding our usual art contests, with the winning entries being showcased throughout the convention. We are looking for designs for the official booklet cover, con badges, and the Setsucon 2017 attendee T-shirt. Check out our Contests Page for more details.

Panel Application Submissions for Setsucon 2017 are now open! We look forward to another year of fantastic attendee panels. If you have a passion to share or a skill to teach, head over to our Panels page to fill out and submit an application. Remember to read over all of the rules carefully and don't forget to pre-register for the con!

As we approach the opening of panel applications, Setsucon would like to announce a change to the Panels Policy. We will be recognizing those panelists who have reliably provided content to our convention for the past few years. These panelists may qualify for Veteran Panelist status. Registration costs are waived for a Veteran, if their panel is accepted at Setsucon 2017. For those that do not qualify as Veteran panelist, you can still be reimbursed for panels after the convention. Please see the Panels Page for full details.

Applications for Exhibitors are now live! Artist applications will stay open until Monday, October 24th while Vendor applications will stay open until Monday, October 31st. If you are interested in applying for a space, you can check out our Exhibitors page.
Just a heads up to all of you. The ATM at the Toftrees is out of money. We do not expect it to be replenished over the weekend.
We have sold the additional 50 badges. Keep an eye out for further announcements. We will continue to monitor the situation and let you know if we can manage to squeeze any more people in!
We just got the go ahead from our venue to increase the cap by a smidgen! Starting at NOON we will have 50 more badges available. Badges are still available on a first come, first serve basis.
We have reached our attendance cap of 700 for Saturday. There are no longer any Saturday/Weekend badges available. There are at least 70 Sunday-only badges remaining. We will post a more exact number later today.

The registration desk is closed for tonight. The registration desk will reopen at 7AM Saturday morning for pre-registration pickup and at-con registration. We will have 100 weekend badges available on a first come, first serve basis.
Reminder, the registration desk closes at 10:00PM for tonight. You've only got 30 minutes left to pick-up your pre-registration or register for 2016! We have 133 badges left before we reach that cap.

Setsucon has arranged for a discounted room rate of $89/night (plus taxes) at Toftrees. When reserving a room, please be sure to call the hotel directly and mention that you are attending Setsucon and would like the group rate. Setsucon has reserved the entire hotel for its room block, so be sure to mention Setsucon or the hotel may say that they have no rooms available. Furthermore, Toftress will not be taking online reservations for this room block.
The Setsucon staff and I apologize for the early closure of the Saturday night dance, the Setsu Odori. Our staff received several complaints of venue damage and inappropriate behavior at the dance. For your safety, we made the difficult decision to end the dance early. Once again, we apologize and we hope that you enjoy the rest of your time at Setsucon.

Due to weather conditions and airport delays, there have been delays with some guests. In a effort to not cancel these guest panels, we have rearranged the schedule to accommodate their new travel plans.

Guest Panel Changes:
Though, Richard and Ellyn Stern Epcar are unable to make it out to Setsucon 2014 this year, they have decided to host a Q&A panel via Skype! The Q&A panel will be held at 8pm-9pm in Panels room 1!

Alexis Tipton Scary Story panel, feat. Leah Clark is now scheduled for 9:30pm to 10:30pm in Panels room 1!
