Test Your Might - For a Good Cause - In Our Charity Gaming Tournaments

Organized in Partnership with Penn State Altoona ESports, Penn State Smash, Penn State FGC, and Penn State (UP) ESports.


We are proud to be hosting our first ever Charity Gaming Tournament at Setsucon 2022! Compete in two exciting fighting games, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate and Guilty Gear -Strive- to see if you are the champion. All proceeds from the tournaments go to a great cause in the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI).

The two tournaments will be hosted on Saturday, January 29th and Sunday, January 30th in our Video Gaming Room. See below for more info.

In order to participate in our tournaments, you must both register for the convention and register for the tournament. Registration for the convention can be either prior-to or at the convention, but must be completed prior to registering for the tournament.

Tournament registration can be done via our Smash.gg page. Tournament registration closes at 9:00 PM ET on Friday, January 28th, and the entry fee can be paid in-person at the convention prior to the start of each tournament. Entrants will be presented with a special badge that will allow access to the tournaments.

About NAMI

All of our proceeds from the tournaments will go directly to the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI), Altoona Chapter, to aid those affected by mental illness. NAMI is a charity that “provides advocacy, education, support, and public awareness so that all individuals and families affected by mental illness can build better lives.” NAMI has affiliated locations in all 50 states and several programs aimed at promoting education and awareness.
