PANELS
Thank you for your interest in hosting a panel at Setsucon. Check out our rules and policies below and take the time to read them carefully before submitting your application. If you have any questions, please contact our Panels Coordinator via the Contact Form.
Panels applications will be open from August 5th, 2024 until October 31st, 2024. Accepted Panelists will need to purchase a convention badge before the panel can be officially accepted. You will be contacted by the Panels Coordinator informing you whether or not you have been accepted during the week of November 25th, 2024 to November 29th, 2024. If you have been accepted, you will be contacted by the Panels Coordinator to confirm your acceptance.
Setsucon hopes that you will have a wonderful time running a panel and help to enrich the experience for all of the other attendees at the convention. However please be aware that there are a few guidelines you must follow when applying for your panel:
Setsucon recognizes those who have consistently provided panels to the convention in the past. Registration for such panelists is waived provided the following conditions are met:
Examples provided here do not cover all situations.
Setsucon will provide registration reimbursement as a thank you for providing your services as a panelist. Reimbursement is contingent on the following conditions:
Reimbursement only applies to the person/people who conduct the panel. There is a maximum of two panelists per panel who will be reimbursed. The maximum reimbursement for a single person will not exceed your pre-registration cost and will be mailed in the form of a check or as a refund via Eventbrite.
If you have any further questions, please contact the Panels Coordinator.
Please complete the below application to the best of your ability and as complete as possible. This application, and the contents held within, shall be used by our Panels Coordinator to select the panels for Setsucon. Please ensure that you read all policies and information ahead of applying, as submitting an application binds you to these policies, if accepted.
Please submit a separate application for each panel you are interested in submitting.
Do note – this is not a first-come-first-accepted system. We will review all applications equally and fairly once applications have closed and will select from the list of applications for the schedule. Please try to be as clear as possible with your application and what your panel entails to allow for the easiest review of your submission.
